Ah, would that the midnight cult movie circuit were not among the dearly departed, this flick would be right up there with Pink Flamingoes and Eraserhead.
The zero-budget story of ambition, lust, and catfights among the Hollywood has-beens (played by some spirited drag queens) is cliched, but when the writing is this hilarious, who cares? There is a literal zinger a minute. Just came out on DVD, and I highly recommend it to fans of gross, mean spirited, down 'n' dirty, nasty humor along the lines of early John Waters or Strangers With Candy.
Not recommended, however, to sensitive people, members of the PC police, or feminists.
The Wonder Woman-style theme song is still stuck in my head.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
