Oh My God, I just realized that we share the same initials on both of our last names..OK people I'm working on no sleep here. but i just wanted to let all of you fabulous BWW'ers know that the delectable Mr. Maitner will be guest starring and channeling Liza ( along with the wonderful Brian Farley and Brandon Cutrell)in my Judy Garland tribute -Gurland Does Garland'- as part of my monthly series at the Beechman. this is an event not to be missed. What a novelty..4 gay boys belting out Judy Garland tunes!!!

David Gurland and the Laurie Beechman Theatre will present an evening of songs made famous by the incomparable Judy Garland. In the great tradition of other out artists, like Rufus Wainwright, the evening will cover songs from Judy’s films as well as her concert appearances, both obscure numbers and Judy classics. In addition to David, The evening will also feature appearances by three of the New York cabaret's most talented and versatile singers, Award winners Brandon Cutrell, Brian Farley, and Rob Maitner. Previous DGUR Concerts, covering the worlds of Country Music, Show Tunes, 70’s and 80’s pop, and the Madonna oeuvre have been wildly successful. The evening will be musically directed by Ray Fellman. Proceeds from this concert will go to Classical Action, a fundraising program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS which draws upon the talents, resources and generosity of the performing arts community to raise vitally needed funds for AIDS-related services across the United States. Can I request that Robbie, David and Brandon do "It's a Great Big World" from "The Harvey Girls" with Robbie taking the Virginia O'Brien part, Brandon dancing the Cyd Charisse part and David doing Judy?
