An interesting article in the UK Guardian, about wives who find out that their husband is gay.
As a young, openly-gay man, it's hard for me to imagine what this horrifying situation is like for either party.

I find lesbians who pretend that gay men are their message board husbands way, way more horrifying.
On the other hand, I just finished "Uncle Mame," the bio of Patrick Dennis. It kinda worked out well between him and his wife. They even got back together after being separated for years. And then he died.

Posted: 1/30/06 at 9:32pmIt's not the best written thing. Basically the interviews conducted and the letters excerpted all amounted to the same thing. He was nice. Everybody loved him. When they think about him now they smile. He was a life long democrat, very entertaining and funny but a snob. He drank too much, he smoked too much. He was conflicted about his sexuality. He separated from his wife. His money ran out. He became a butler. (His last assignment was butler to McDonald's founder Ray Kroc and his wife). He got back together with his wife. He immediately got pancreatic cancer. And, curtain.

You should write blurbs on book jackets or better yet, what we used to call Monarch Notes, but which I do believe are extinct now. There are also Cliffs Notes. You could start a line of "Namo Notes." It could work. As a former English professor, I can tell you that a student who had "some idea" of what the book was about and who was also funny (read "sarcastic") was okay in my book. You may have the catchy title "Namo Notes" free of charge. My gift to you. Copy this message so you will have it as evidence when you make millions and I try to sue your ass off.

My friend's husband of twenty some years left her for a romance with a male race car driver. He'd been having these flings with certain drivers for years and finally met the one he wanted to settle down with. A regular little red Corvette.
