This guy is in denial big time. Granted the talent around him is not playoff quality but even so his play has been putrid. He makes Mark Sanchez look like Johnny Unitas.
Sanchez at least got them to the playoffs twice. Smith still thinks he is a good QB . The jets made a boo boo picking him. Time for them to admit they made a mistake and cut him loose. Get a different QB some receivers and a new head coach as Ryan misguided support of him makes matters worse. Anywhere else he would have been replaced. Ryan may lose his job over this blind support. When I heard he was starting yesterday I did not even watch the game. I will do the same if he is the starter this week.
