As we enter the eighth year of the Bush-Cheney administration, I have belatedly and painfully concluded that the only honorable course for me is to urge the impeachment of the president and the vice president.

After the 1972 presidential election, I stood clear of calls to impeach President Richard M. Nixon for his misconduct during the campaign. I thought that my joining the impeachment effort would be seen as an expression of personal vengeance toward the president who had defeated me.

Today I have made a different choice.

Also, can we make certain that Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, McGovern, Gore, and Kerry all make it up on the platform at the democrat national convention?

I made the Bush/Nixon comparison myself a while ago without really thinking about it. Now it chills me to the bone--to think that we've really sunk below even Nixon's level.

I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."

Actually Gore won. But let's not split hairs.

Not to mention - as we've disagreed with in the past - Gore has done quite a bit to bring attention to many environmental issues of importance.

Of course you'll blabber about something now pretending to know better.. g'head.

Or maybe Presidents who bomb Iraq while having sex and then lie about the sex under oath and don't take responsibility for bombing Iraq.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

On the other hand, provided as many documents as possible can be preserved during the change in power after the election, it might be easier to go after Bush on criminal charges once he's out of office.

Well, the administration has caused a culture of fear, no two ways about it. One fear comes from the war and economy, the other from the fact that they've gotten away with a lot of things, as if they're trying to reverse or dissolve the paradigm of our government.

Bush is a horrific president, but a lot of that is because he's not trying to be. He's a pirate in Armani.
