Ghoti and other words that could be....

Bernard Shaw said that the English language is full of inconsistancies in spelling. He said that by some logic "ghoti" could be pronounced "fish." (gh in laugh, o in women, ti in station).

Would other words could you spell a different way. Let's see if we can guess them.

There was a rock band a few years back, who, in it's infinite cleverness named themselves "Ghoti Hook". Of course, all this meant was that if DJs pronounced the band name correctly, fans came into record stores looking for "Fish Hook" and couldn't find it. Happily, this confusion prevented them for selling any records and they are now consigned to the scrapheap of history.
