Lildogs, I don’t mean to overthink this game, but are we supposed to have specific performances in mind when voting?

I know this is all subjective, but I'm having trouble imagining what films half of these actresses (as wonderful as they all were) would have been nominated for.

You MIGHT be overthinking a bit, but I could add titles to make it more interesting, but who's to say Myrna is better in The Best Years of Our Lives than she was in The Thin Man? Or Jean Harlow in Dinner at Eight over Red Dust? Or Rita in Gilda or The Lady From Shanghai? I'll pick just one if you think it'll make the game more interesting, but they will be MY choices...

Oh, I didn’t mean for you to specify performances…I guess I’m just thinking of some of these women as great stars or great screen presences, not necessarily great, award-worthy actresses (but again, that’s just my opinion and I realize this is all subjective…each actress has her fans). Sorry…didn’t mean to make it more complicated…was just curious.
