I was the first Jewish person that most of the students had met, and it amazes me how little so many people from small towns actually know about the rest of the world. Kewanee, Kickapoo, Metamora, Vernon, little tiny places on the map. Many hadn't been out of the state, and were actually a bit on the conservative side when we started. After a few frat parties, that all changed.
I'm considering Bradley as one of my college choices. Go Bradley!
Alum party at Proof in NYC on Thurs to watch the game!!!

goZags.com
now i'm really scared. elphaba and i are cheering for the same team! go 'zaga.
lol, papa......
Liotte, it isn't going to happen......
Elphaba, keep in mind that I'm really cheering for Bradley, who I never thought would get to the tournament at all, let alone the sweet sixteen!
Go LSU!! (hehe...I just want to give all the Duke fans a hard time
) Actually Duke along with Villanova and UCONN are 3 of the 4 final four picks in my bracket. The 4th, Pitt, well...got toasted by Bradley. Of course deep down I pull for the underdogs anyway so it wasn't all bad!
Papa, I would love to see the 'Zags in the Final Four. I think it would validate all the improvements that the team has made in the past few years.
I know Liotte, and it's great that Bradley made it so far......I had hoped San Diego State would, but alas....as usual they lost first round
I'm excited to go to a bar in NYC with other Bradley alum to watch this game tomorrow!!
Though it has been a pretty bad week for me . . .
UCLA!
That game was amazing. UCLA - at least they never gave up. Though, I was not quite sure they would win.
I felt really bad for Adam Morrison.
But, I cannot believe UCLA pulled that game out!

I felt horrible for Morrison, too. I have no allegiance to anyone in that conference so it was just heartbreaking to watch him.
However, I DO have dedication elsewhere...or rather, in this case, against a team. And with that I say, anyone catch that Duke-LSU game tonight?
::end of taunt::
Anyone contemplating goig to the current Bradley should talk to Liotte. We went to different versions of the same school, I do believe. When I was there, the liberal arts faculty was radical, the student body full of Jewish kids and Chicago African-Americans -- not just farm kids. A fascinating mix. And we did have incredible music for the era (hereby dating me:) freshman year alone, Blood Sweat n'Tears, Chicago, Fifth Dimension, John Sebastian, REO Speedwagon... And I was on the Lecture-Arts committee and got to have dinner with Betty Friedan, Rod Serling, David Susskind come to mind... For many of us, it wasn't just a basketball school.
hugs for liotte! Next time I'm in NYC you and I can have a drink and toast our Sweet Sixteen favs!
Today they announced on the radio that all the WSU fans are leaving town, so you'll probably see more black and gold at the airport this morning.
Because that's the kind of pressing issue I want addressed along with my morning news.
Last night's games were amazing! There was also so much heartbreak last night. Although I was pulling for LSU to win, I did feel for J.J. Redick after the loss. Here in NC they televised the press conference and Coach K, Redick, and Shelden Williams all made really good comments. You could just see on their faces and by what they said how much the loss hurt. I also felt for Adam Morrison --it must have been an awful feeling to have your team totally colapse like that in the closing minutes after having the game in hand-- and for West Virginia -- to claw all the way back from a 12 point half-time deficit only to get stung at the buzzer. 3 gut-wrenching games! Hopefully tonight's game can live up to them!

Some statements transcend time constraints. What was true in '73 clearly applied to '01.
Salute, Liotte, and thanks for this thread. May Bradley triumh in 07.
