Godfather & Scarface video games

Has anyone played either of these new video games based on classic movies?

I would be willing to buy an XBox or PSP if these are any good.

From what I've seen Godfather hasn't been getting good reviews, other than from GamePro but I never trust their scores because they're always the opposite of what everyone else says!

I picked up The Godfather for my Xbox the day it came out. I’ve been waiting for this game since last spring…it was postponed at least twice. Anyway…the best way to sum up The Godfather is GTA meets the mafia. I do, though, think The Godfather is a better game. The graphics are incredible, the unique extortion process is cool and its awesome having a character be a part of this movie. While shaking down a business you can hurl people into walls, choke them within inches of their life, shoot them in the leg among other things until you break the store owners and have them see your way and pay for protection. And a little on some of the scenes from the movie that you get to play…these missions are quite fun. During one of the early missions you get to rough up the guys who beat up the mortician’s daughter. Also you get to assassinate the guys who killed Luca Brasi and you help plant the infamous horse head in the sleeping producer’s bed. I haven’t gotten too far in the missions as I have been mostly extorting…its fun killing the guys from the other families. The only gripe I have with this game is that some of the extras walking around and the store fronts all look the same. Overall the game is excellent…it should be a definite on your list!

And just to touch on the reviews...I looked at IGN and Gamespot and both scored The Godfather in the mid-eighties I believe.

but Godfather the video game actually has Brando's voice, last thing he did before he died.
