Faboo info Beaverhausen, I've been doing it for a few weeks because I have short hair and it's feeling a little dry.

Cheers Cheers, Thanks a lot.

any of that crap that claims to be for blonde hair is well just that crap. Thanks to the loverly fl sun my hair recently turned platnum. i personally depend on infusium, the trick with blonde is keeping it clean im sure you have discovered. i also use a product called fermodyl i get it at sallys beauty supply. the trick to keep it from being dry is the aussie 3 minute miracle! anything else i can think of i will post for you

Good luck hon! An old friend went platinum yrs ago & she has spent a veritable fortuna on religiously maintaining it. I mean she had to time her honeymoon around her colouring!

Nioxin (MIgh tbe spelled a LITTLE differently) makes fantastic 'color treated' hair products.

Well, I'm glad he got away with it.

Hey, I'm platinum blonde, and I use Pantene conditioner / the conditioner they put in the bottles of "nice n' easy" hairdye. My platinum is permanent though..what about yours? maybe it's different care then..

That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. I use L'Oreal Feria, it's awesome stuff, especially for a home job. I have VERY dark hair and it almost completely bleached it on the first try. I've been using the conditioner that comes with it and I tried the hot oil and my hair isn't so dry anymore.

Cheers Cheers, Thanks a lot.

OH... MY... GOD...

Major crisis, I just dyed my hair again to get rid of the roots and as I'm standing in the shower washing out the dye, these clumps of hair start falling out of my head. I was mortified, I had to shave my head (short short buzz) to fix it. OH.. MY.. GOD..

Cheers Cheers, Thanks a lot.

You're not supposed to dye your hair more than once for a period of time..too many chemicals. Hope everything is ok now though!

I've been doing it for about 5 weeks now. My hair was fine this morning, I even had it cut last weekend and it was fine. I think I'll let the roots grow back in and go back to my dark brown again.

Cheers Cheers, Thanks a lot.

Yikes. Don't worry , even Deborah Harry, Cher and Tina Turner have probly had the same problem with hair color so no big re: Going Platinum Blonde?

Correction wildcat, I don't think I've had platinum blonde yet, but I will soon re: Going Platinum Blonde?
I've never had that happen, surprisingly, considering the MANY MANY MANY times I've dyed my hair. Although I'm paranoid every time I dye my hair that my hair will fall out. But I've had a buzz cut before so it wouldn't matter.

I'm in the process of going blonde again. I've started using the Pantene shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair for maintenence.

If you ever try going blonde with dark brown hair, don't use "Born Blonde". That garbage has a mind of it's own. Plus it doesn't work the way it's supposed to. So now I'm stuck with a mixed, blotchy looking strawberry blonde. I'm fixing it soon though, with hopefully a result that's not exactly Brad Pitt blonde, but a little more natural looking, LOL.

Broomstick... If you want to go Platinum, try L'Oreal Feria #205, It works awesome, I have dark brown and it REALLY lightened my hair to a VERY light blonde. Just don't do what I did and overdo it. I'm pi$$ed that I had to buzz my head this short but I had no choice.

Cheers Cheers, Thanks a lot.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'm hoping for a really light , almost white-sand looking blonde. But knowing my luck I'll have that freakish looking yellow. Then you'd know instantly I was from the south :-p!

Odd timing on this thread....

Don't laugh....but I'm thinking of going platinum blonde if I get cast in this next production.

I'm getting so tired of having to keep my hair conservative and or shaggy for those damn historical plays.

I need something drastic for my birthday.

I was born platinum bonde, but I'd never dye my hair back to it. I'm letting the sun do all the work.
