Yes, yet ANOTHER GG thread from me, but what the hay!

FYI: www.deepdiscount.com has the cheapest price on both the Season 3 DVD and the Intimate Portrait DVD

I can't wait for the marathon! Of course, I know these episodes by heart now. But they still make me laugh. I was reading an interview with Merce Cunningham and he mentioned he still watched GG because few characters on TV speak their minds and have strong opinions. I couldn't agree more.

The pilot is also of interest because it has Coco, the gay housekeeper, Blanche with no accent, and the house's layout is reversed. Plus you get to see Bea abuse Betty.

FYI: For those in NYC, Betty, Rue and Bea will be doing a dvd signing at Barnes and Noble on the release date...

and as much as I miss her, The Golden Palace isnt that bad...glad they are showing it again, cause I tuned out when it was on originally....gotta love Lifetime!

Bold move, stephy...she's also been referred to as Blanche Marie Hollingsworth by Mammie (Ruby Dee), one of the many inconsistencies in the GG.
