This decision affects only the conditions under which we may use such material, not our ability to do so.
can someone translate please that?

If it's raining, they can't show the clips.

Overcast = Only the Best Actress clips
A downturn in the housing market = Only Foreign Language clips, but they can also show Hollywood films, if they're dubbed into French or German
If the groundhog sees his shadow = six more clips from Hairspray

well, let's hope for a cloudy day on which real estate rates drop and groundhogs oversleep then.

What the heck, let 'em improvise. Maybe they're funny on their own.

I'm sure they'll be funny franklin, but I doubt it will be intentional.
Anyway, aren't most actors not crossing the line to attend?

Exactly... so the best we can all hope for is a hilariously funny costume designer.

Well, isn't that fair enough, if they're funny in their helplessness? I'm sure that'd work.

Laugh AT them, not WITH them, in other words?
Most viewers would say they do that with WGA help anyway.

but the ratings would SOAR! Who wouldn't tune in to see an unscripted show? It would have the same appeal as watching one of Fox's "world's greatest crahes" shows.

What would be really great is if they had color commentary by some of the sports announcers.
"Remember, gang, this is LIVE at the podium...
Oh, Reese Witherspoon just went for a foreclosure joke and... OH! no one's laughing, Jim. Let's see that one again in the instant replay!"

LOL!
"Look Jim, it's sandy bullock. A lot has been made in this town about how two faced she is. But looking at her now I'd say she's on number three at the least!"

I Just recently discovered that the animation writers are NOT eligible for membership in the WGA so they could go to the SouthPark team or the "story editors" of "Drawn Together" or even (gasp, dare I dream) ROBOT CHICKEN! and just do the show as animation with all celebrity voices imitated -poorly! Hey @ least it'd be a "different" take on the whole self agrandizing shemozzle. (P.S. as SAG is busy planning its own work place action U can bet they'll honour picket lines)
