While in NYC I purchased the Goldrich and Heisler book of sheet music b/c I like their song "Taylor the Latte Boy" and thought maybe I could use something of theirs for an audition song that not many other people would have. Does anyone else own this book or has anyone else heard any of their songs other than "Taylor". I'd love any feedback on their music. Thanks!

i have the book and i LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

"out of love" in an awesome song, but i don't think i'd use it for an audition. for cabaret, definitely.

"15 pounds" is cute as well, if you can pull it off...as is "leave".

most of their stuff is cute and funny, but some of it is dramatic if well acted.

i would ABSOLUTELY get the book.

I don't think the sheet music for Alto's Lament is available yet.

Too bad... I really want to sing it! :) But if you haven't sang "Taylor" yet, you really should. Audiences love it! :)

oh, i know many ways to get it. its just all the stuff about how they haven't officially gotten the rights to all the pieces of music from other shows in it yet, so no one can perform it... (although somehow people seem to anyway). and i really want to and have a big competition coming up that it would be perfect in. if anyone knows if i could get away with it or if they've finally gotten the rights let me know.
