Just saw Plus Tard - One Day You Will Understand

It stars Jeanne Moreau & has to do with the holocaust. It is well worth your time.

It may be a while before a title like that shows up here, unless it hits Vancouver BC or Seattle art houses.

The IMDb ratings aren't too good, but it does look like it's worth seeing. Thanks for the heads up.

For French cinema I like the recent work of tony Gatlif. I enjoyed Transylvania with Asia Argento. Gatlif's films haven't been broad in scope since Latcho Drom ('93), but there is something to that way of making films that I like, more intimate and personal. Others worth seeing are

Vengo
Gadjo Dilo
Exils
Swing

... and all his films of the last 15+ years are very musical.
