Good Mystery Book Series

There is a little known series of mystery books by Stuart Kaminsky. The main character is Toby Peters. He is a private detective in 1940's Hollywood whose clients are Hollywood stars of the period

I believe the first in the series was " Murder On The Yellow Brick Road " It starts " Someone murdered a munchkin..." . His clients include Bela Lugosi, Clark Gable, Bette Davis, Joe Lewis , W C Fields etc. He shares an office with a dentist & lives with a neurotic cat & his neighbors include a midget

They may be out of print but read them as they are very unique & enjoyable

I know the series you mean. Bought one years ago. Think it was about Noel Coward.
