Graceland (USA)

I watched the pilot last night. It seems like typical USA Network's spy fare which seems like a retake of 21 Jump Street. I'm not knocking the pilot. It's just that to me the writing and action sequences in the pilot, Covert Affairs and Burn Notice make the characters appear somewhat cartoonish. Perhaps 'Homeland' and 'Sleeper Cell: American Terror' before it have raised the bar too much for network/cable spy series.

All I gathered from the pilot was a group of surfer dudes with badges, a moody chick who's getting it on with one of the surfer dudes, a potential piece of ... for Aaron's Tveit's character, and Aaron portraying a seemingly milquetoast cub scout sent to spy on Daniel Sunjata who's attempting to be the coolest dude in school. It's likely to be a hit.
