That's a really fun show. She seems like she'd be a blast to go on a trip with. Knows how to enjoy the finer things, but not too stuffy. Updated On: 2/16/05 at 03:35 PM

I love Great Hotels. My fsavorite was the time I stayed at the Fairmont in San
Fran. Simply elegant. I mean this because I usually stay at places that hourly rates and vibrating beds.
This isn't the one on the Ourdoor Life Network that ranked the Top 10 Luxury Hotels, is it?
Did anyone see the hotel off of Abu Dhabi that was its own island, only accessible by chaffeured town car or plane? And the outside is the shape of a boat sail and made of canvas?
ETA: The Burj Al Arab. http://www.burj-al-arab.com/ Pretty spectacular, eh?
And in a slight threadjack, anyone know a good hotel in Manhattan (pref: midtown) with private bathrooms for around $120/night?
That is so weird. I'm in Australia and waiting for a programme on the Discovery Channel called GREAT HOTELS IN NEW YORK CITY to start in exactly five minutes!
*claps and jumps up and down*
I'm expecting a full report!
Oh, this is killing me...14 storeys above Manhattan, the open- air Ritz Carlton Battery Park bar. Take me now, Lord...
*salivating* Tell me more!
The Library Hotel on Madison Avenue...rooms full of books!
Very expensive, me thinks. But it looks lovely. Very small boutique hotel, I believe.
You want to talk expensive? Now she's in a suite at the St. Regis! A butler on every floor.
Dang, I missed it, Wildcat!
*Nnnnnnnoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
Or perhaps The Muse in the theatre district. Oh what the heck. It's all academic at this stage...
Which one was the number 1?
The outdoor bar at the Battery Park Ritz-Carlton is one of the great places to meet for a drink...
The hotel has July 4th packages with an amazing view of the Harbor and the fireworks.
My personal Great Hotels list of five:
The Beau-Rivage in Geneva Switzerland.
The Halekulani in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The Windsor Court in New Orleans, Lousiana.
The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida.
The Four Seasons Hotel in London, England.
wow! i didn't expect this thread to get more than 5 posts!
i love the program on the Burj Al Arab and the Top 10 NYC hotels was really a great program.
tiff- try the Time hotel or go to Expedia or Travelocity- i believe they are having a sale. Plus- Continental is having a fare sale. DON'T FORGET ME IN ENGLAND TIFF!
I love great hotels. I don't find Samantha herself annoying, but I am insanely jealous of her. I enjoy staying in hotels...I may stay in a local one during my vacation next week. It will only be moments from where I live, but I love the pampered feeling.
