and I like the character.....I mean she has a lot going on, a mother who has alzheimer's, working with an ex-boyfriend who's back with his wife, who also works there.......in a very competitive part of her medical career.......and is finding out she does NOT have to be like her mother...as in the beginning her character was more stand-offish.
She is not why I watch the show, Sandra own that distinction....but I don't mind her

Heart transplant patient was Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Seems he's been in all kinds of TV shows.
Izzy is dumb to let him go....professional ethics and poor health aside.
He was right...he was hot. And she's not doing so well with anyone else.
That's totally fair, and we're both entitled to our opinions. I don't think, though, that having a lot going on excuses not being a nice person. I should watch it again to reevaluate, but I hated the way she handled the affair with Patrick when the show started out. It didn't seem that she was a particularly good friend, and her self-centered view of the world is extremely offputting.

she does get a bit self-centered....the whole dog issue that comes to a head next week is a good example.......evern if you own a house, if you have two other roommates you don't just bring a dog hom, you discuss and decide as a group, or you may be living alone very soon
