Fair Warning. East Coaster just saw the finale.
OMIGOSH. Can you believe all the can of worms in just an hour.
And Wanda...I knew she was a few bricks short of a load but I didn't peg her for Frank's poisoning.

And, Barb. I felt so bad for her. She was really devastated.
What does this mean for the business? Will they report her?

Posted: 6/4/06 at 11:19pmI have NO idea. I want to know if the whole "teen bride" freak out was all planned by Roman the whole time.

Posted: 6/4/06 at 11:28pmI agree--that was an explosive hour. I didn't peg Wanda as the poisoner either. How long do we have to wait for the next season? That is one thing that kind of stinks about HBO (sometimes a long wait btwn. seasons). I totally love this show, though. Didn't Nikki look so pretty when Margie fixed her up for the ceremony? Barb's reaction to her was sweet.

I felt so bad for Rhonda...even when Roman made the call in front of her because obviously SHE told him about the contest, right? Spoiled but hurt little brat, wife-to-be.
And, Barb. Her utter devastation at the events of the ceremony and the danger to the family.
I thought for sure she would lie to the organizers.

Posted: 6/5/06 at 11:53amKudos to HBO for taking a controversial (and "illegal") form of the American family, portraying them in a human manner, and allowing us to relate to them enough to draw sympathy. Makes you wonder why they can't do this for gay marriage in Massachusettes, where it might be needed more. Nonetheless, it is an excellent show.

I felt so bad for Barb and the entire family.
I hope they are feeling better today.

Posted: 6/5/06 at 5:34pmSee, I started to feel bad for Rhonda, but I am not sure that it wasn't all a hoax. Rhonda is SUCH a sneaky coniving person. I wonder if Roman put her up to everything she did the whole week. Did Roman tell her to lie if she lost the contest so she could stay in the house and spy? Maybe not that far since she stomped on the guy's leg when she was told. (And why do you think that older blond daughter didn't rat her out to the rest of the family.) Roman was not at all angry with her and you KNOW that Mary Kay Place's character told him that Rhonda ran off. I think there is more to that story. We may not find out for sure. What in the world will happen to this family next year?

Nicki in a dress. That was worth the entire episode.
Rhonda is psychotic. Such a little biitch. But she's such a tornado - she just ruins lots and lots of things. But her bedazzling her clothes was funny.

Posted: 6/5/06 at 9:09pmYou never know with HBO. The Sopranos has sometimes taken 20 months between shows while this year, the next season starts in January. One would hope that Big Love will start in March again.

Posted: 6/5/06 at 11:16pmI thought the finale was great... i feel so bad for the family, but I don't feel any sympathy for Barb. Throughout this entire season she's had such a power trip by being first wife, and she knowingly took this ultimate risk to the family just so she could recieve some award to feed her narcissism. I don't understand how she feels so superior that she can compel her other sister wives to keep their lives within such barriers of total secrecy, then go out and nearly ruin a dozen lives.

Posted: 6/6/06 at 8:42amI agree Human. Bill was wise enough to give up the League, which he desperately wanted to join. Barb should have known better. I didn't realize how much the show upset me until I couldn't watch it again last night. lol So, what did Nikki say to Barb in the bedroom after they had been exposed? I was distracted during that scene and missed the line.

Posted: 6/6/06 at 9:45amShe started crying and said "Oh bosslady..." which I think Nicki sees as her term of affection for Barb.
