After watching this last night on TV, I got carried away in imagining a musical version of this on the Broadway boards. I mean, why not -- just about everything else has been done, right?
Casting:
Sharon Tate: Cady Huffman
Charlie Manson: Neal Patrick Harris (actually, this guy that played him in the TV movie reminded me of NPH ALOT.)
Susan "Sadie Mae Glutz" Atkins: Kristin Chenoweth (donning a dark wig, of course)
Patricia Krenwinkel: Alison Smith (who played her in the TV movie -- might as well take it to the stage, eh? Julie did it with V/V.)
Leslie Van Houten: Why, who else? Sutton Foster, of course!
Tex Watson: Matt whatshisname -- you know, Urban Cowboy boy.
Vincent Bugliosi, prosecutor: Harvey Fierstein.

Director: Sam Mendes
Choreography: Jerry Mitchell (with an assist from Twyla Tharp and Mark Morris)
Now I've got to think of some numbers....
