HP 17.3" Laptop - HPG7/1255dx - Best Buy). what do you think?

I'm beyond confused as to what to buy to replace my 8 yr. old dead, DELL Desktop. Keyboard, mouse still working. I saw this in a store today, and thought it was REALLY lightweight for a 17" laptop, and everything else seemed pretty ok. I only need something very BASIC. I use my PC 95% in the house, but the option is nice. Does anyone here own this model or anything like it? Do you think I shoud wait until efter Black Friday to buy something, or do you think this is a good deal NOW? I've been PC-;ess for 3 wks, and it's driving my crazy. Thanks for any input.

I bought a 15in 6GB memory HP Pavillion at Costco about a month ago for $600. So far it's working beautifully. $449 sounds like an excellent price. You should buy it now because if you are waiting for the price to go down, you'll be waiting forever. The first rule of technology is that prices are always going down while technology is always improving. After Black Friday sales come Christmas sales, etc., etc. And meanwhile you are PC-less.
