Hair Advice..

I am getting my hair cut today and I want to try something different but not too drastic. I don't have much time in the morning to do stuff to my hair but I am so sick of the stick straight or pulled back look every day. My hair will not curl for anything. I want something with body and with a more modern and fun look. (but still able to be pulled back for when I am playing with kids at work next month)

Any advice or ideas?

Long layers will give you the option to pull it back or up to keep it out of your way. Let us know what you select...

I'll use my new style as my av when I get it done...I am looking at different hairstyles online now and trying to pick some that I like.

i'm getting my haircut today too! and i'm in the same position; i want something new but not too drastic. my hair is pretty long and i want to keep the length. so i think i'll get a simple trim but maybe add some angles in the front.

I just cut 11 inches off and my hair is now a little above my shoulders. The hair dresser had fun with it and she layered my hair and angled it in the front. I really like my new style.

I think you should dye it... my wife went from blonde to red last year - so many people (including me) tell her how good she looks as a redhead!

Gonna put in another vote for the layers. I'd been growing my hair out for months, literally since like... November. I finally had to get it cut yesterday because of all the damage, basically a combination of all the time that went by and the fact that I flat-iron my hair. I had to take off a lot, I assume because it was damaged, but I've got my layers back and I'm happy.

I am definatly getting layers...its the color that I'm still debating...Stay blonde or go red? (I'm not really blonde, I have just been highlighting and now dying it since I was 15..I was born blonde and I wanted to stay that way)

layers, and angled... but if you're like me and like to put your hair up in a ponytail thing, i would just suggest layers... sometimes the angles don't reach into the ponytail.

I vote for going darker. But hey, I'm brunette, so therefore biased.

If you get angles/layers and are worried about what Abba said, just make sure you tell whoever is cutting your hair that you still want to be able to get into a ponytail. I freak out if I can't get my hair to go and stay up, so I've always just told people to keep that in mind when they cut my hair.

So what I really want to know is..should I go red?
I have to leave in about 10 minutes. I will be back a little after 3 so let me know what you think. I really need some advice/encouragement on this because I am scared to take the plunge lol.
