If I were truly resentful toward my government or my military, like it seems Gaveston is, I'd probably find a way to move elsewhere; perhaps Canada or somewhere in Europe. At least then I might be happy.
Oh, please tell us exactly how you would make that happen. It's obviously so simple and clearly illustrates the fault in the individual, who should have to leave the country, rather than holding the government responsible for its actions. While you're at it, why don't illustrate the simplicity of emigration and lead by example? Clearly, nobody here has ever exhaustively researched the reality of emigration. For years.

Matt, if it were up to me the only purpose the federal government would serve is protect our homeland. That is it. My belief is that all mandates, other laws, and resources/subsidies should only be local and state. It's the only way to ensure transparency and remove MOST of the corruption, although not all. Sadly.
