When I was a little girl, I thought Tony was the most beautiful man I had ever seen...A Big 83rd Birthday.
Does anyone have any pictures?

"I heard a very sad story about a girl who went to Bryn Mawr. She squealed on her roommate and they found her strangled with her own brassiere."
Love ya, Tony. Especially in that SPARTACUS slave boy ensemble.

Yes, Happy, Happy Birthday Tony! I also loved Tony when I was a little girl and watched his movies whenever they were shown and still do! I'd love to see some photos as well

You have to see the TCM "Private Screenings" with him and Robert Osborne. It's a few years old now, but it's wonderful. He's eccentric, funny, egotistical... and a truly fascinating person.
It's no wonder he became a huge star. The looks were only part of it. He's unique and original.
And quite a broad.

Here's a photo of Tony very early on in his career, when he played my dear friend Andrea King's sidekick in "I Was a Shoplifter" for Universal.
They were "partners in crime" in that movie, with Tony as her #1 Henchman. She adored working with him, and I remember when he came up to her one night when we were out at dinner and threw his arms around her for a great big hug. He made such a fuss. Great guy. I didn't really talk with him then. He just stopped by to say hi. That was in the early '90s.
(God, I feel like an "old Hollywood newspaper" right now.)
