Haha- I was just going to ask if that was in Philadelphia.
I've been to Philadelphia once. Went to Independence Hall and the surrounding buildings and gardens. I got misty and had the music of "1776" on my mind the whole time. I guess this fits in this thread.
i cannot believe that at 5:20 p.m. on July 4 that i am the first to post a fourth of july thread. how cool is that?
During the bicentennial celebration, there was a superb production of 1776 that played in Philadelphia, for the year. As good as the Broadway production, in every way. During that summer, it played at an open-air theater, in Independence National Park Mall, with Independence Hall as it's backdrop. On July 3rd, the show was timed, to end at midnight (July 4th 1976), just as the bells in the tower tolled. Goosebump and tears time, for sure. I'll never forget it!
Another Philadelphia fireworks display. The first one was along the Schuylkill River. This one is along Philadelphia's other river, the Delaware River.
