Happy New Year 2004

I just wanted to be the first to post Off-Topic in 2004.

Wait a minute, Dick Clark just said 3-2-1.

Geez, I'm a premature gesticulator once again.

All right. ONE of the two of us will end up being the first. If we haven't already ruined the new year.

Wait, I made it this time.

Proudly off-topic since the late 1990s.

Yes, Christina, and I will ALWAYS be stronger than you and I will always beat you. Now go upstairs and write thank you notes and pick out the one Christmas present you want to keep and I'll have Cook pack up the others to give to the poor children.

Namo, in 2004, may you get all you desire. May Alec Baldwin show up in your stocking. Or schwetty, in your panty hose.

That's the kindest wish anybody's ever wished me Auggie Dawggie. The same goes for you. Only double.

Scrub with me, Namo, SCRUB!

We had New Year's here in Moscow 8 hours before New York. New Year's to the Russians is like Christmas to us yanks (which spread off of the reign of Communism in which religion and religious holidays weren't cricket). I was on Tverskaya Street with some friends, right outside of Red Square. It started to snow (the first time since I've been here, they're having a very mild winter), and stopped shortly after midnight. Fireworks are legal here, which led to them going off all around us, there were people on the street selling champagne, and I think I went to bed around the time the East Coast was hitting 12 o'clock. Absolutely amazing.

Oh, yes, the sunrise. It rises around 10 here and sets around 3/4, so in essence I lost a day by crashing at 8 and waking up at 3:30. That was a fun hangover.

May Namo find Alec Baldwin, broadwayguy2 a bevvy of chorus boys, Dolly Patrick Wilson and Eric McCormack (preferably at the same time) and I my toothbrush.
