Lace is the traditional gift for #13. Lace and linens are the modern gift for #8.

SO - based on the way you look now and the way you looked then I can only assume that not only were you blessed with incredible bone structure (cheek bones to kill for!) but you also don't age.

I really like you BUT I think I might hate you a little too. (Only in the most shallow and unimportant way, of course).

And thanks so much for the compliments, guys... He is pretty cute, isn't he? He doesn't have as much hair anymore, but he's still really handsome in an Ed Harris sort of way. (He gets that comparison all the time. The hair he still has is salt and pepper and quite short. Looks great on him!)

Mamie: Yep, they can! And as for your edited comments, please don't hate me! See, I have this portrait up in my attic that I never show anyone, and... Oh, shoot! I almost gave away my secret! :-P

Seriously, it's genetic. My grandma looked 20 years younger than she was from about age 55 right up until her mid-80's. (Then she got sick, and she aged overnight. Crazy.) Mom looks pretty dang good, too. And THANK YOU SO MUCH! (What a great day already! Hee!)
