LONDON (Reuters) - Car racing movie "The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift" went straight to the top of the box office charts in its first weekend, Screen International said on Tuesday.

The sequel to "The Fast & the Furious" and "2 Fast 2 Furious," starring Lucas Black, grossed over 1.8 million pounds in three days, knocking "The Omen" down to third spot.

"X-Men: The Last Stand," starring Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry stayed in second place.

[b]In fourth was another new entry, "Hard Candy," a psycho-thriller in which 14-year-old Hayley proves herself not as innocent as Jeff, a 32-year-old photographer she met on the Internet, thinks she is.[/b]

"The Da Vinci Code," based on Dan Brown's best-selling novel, dropped from third to fifth followed by ocean liner disaster movie remake, "Poseidon."

Seventh was Sept 11. 2001 movie "United 93," down from fifth. Eighth down from sixth was "RV: Runaway Vacation," in which Robin Williams stars as the father of a dysfunctional family on a road trip to Colorado.

The animated animals of "The Wild" dropped to ninth place and new at 10 was "Thank You For Smoking," a tobacco-rich satire directed by Jason Reitman, based on the novel of the same name by Christopher Buckley.
