What time are you guys all getting in line? I've never been to an HP midnight show, and I'm afraid I'll get there too early or too late.
I bought a ticket online already. Suck up the $1.50 extra and make sure you get a ticket.
Yeah, my wife and I bought our tickets already. I figure we'll get there around 11:30 or 11:45.
I bought my tickets lastnight on Fandango.com and I cannot wait. I am planning my entire week around it.

if it's IMAX, then I suggest you going at around 10 or even a little earlier. If it's regular theatre, then around 10:30 - 11:00 would be fine.
Really? You don't think people might get there earlier in the afternoon? I'm going to be saving spots for 11 other people...
Well it depends on how big your city is, and how popular your theatre is. I really would buy the tickets in advance, being as this is a huge movie.
If it's IMAX in Manhattan, then you are out of luck. It is sold out. Has been for a few days. My friend tried to get a ticket and couldn't.
I bought mine about 2 weeks ago.
As far as getting there if you already have a ticket, I went to the last HP midnight/opening night showing and it's fine if you don't get there crazy-early, but keep in mind that there are no previews. It will start on time.
Unless by some miracle it is not a sold out show, it's probably not going to be possible to save 11 seats. They probably won't let people in until 20-30 mins before the show and with a flood of people coming in it's going to be hard to save any seat you aren't physically touching.
Yeah, saving 11 seats is virtually impossible.
When they open the theatre people are going to flood in.
I really think getting advanced tickets online and getting there around 11:00 at the earliest with the knowledge that your group may be split up is your best bet.
It's always so hard to judge with things like this. For most of the midnight showings I've been to (for Star Wars and Lord of the Rings) I stood in line for about 3 hours to get a decent seat and seen the line already wrapping around the theatre an hour before the doors opened. If you want to get 12 seats together you should all get there early.
ETA: And advance tickets are a given for things like this. When Star Wars Episode 2 opened my local theatre didn't make tickets available until the box office opened the day of the movie. It was a mess!
