Has PETA ever protested The Met?

I know that every year without fail PETA is seen outside of Madison Square Garden protesting the Ringling Bros circus. But, the Met tends to use animals in their productions. Has PETA ever protested them for using live animals in their shows?

Animals that appear at the MET are trained, supervised and cared for. The SPCA also is required to inspect where they are kept, and how they are fed and exercised during a performance. I don't see any reason to suspect that the MET mistreats them.

Several years ago, they stood outside of the Met and passed out comic books to kids that said things like "Your mother's fur is a dead animal". I don't know if they actually targeted the Met itself, but they definitely targeted the patrons of the Met.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I was just wondering. I mean, the Met uses animals and I was just wondering if they are against animals in theatre in general or just how Ringling uses them.
