Has anyone here ever seen SING (the movie)?

A woman (lorraine bracco) returns to her high school as a teacher and convinces the school punk to become involved in the schools annual production "sing". When the board of education decides to close the school and refuses to allow the annual event to be held, the neighborhood and students come together to put the event on one last time. A cross between "Fame" and "Footloose". (from imdb.com)

I liked this movie when it was called Sister Act 2 Starring a young and nubile Jennifer "Love" Hewitt. (Note, the "Love" is in quotes in the end credits)
Hamlet's father.

Sister Act 2 was a little different, they explained that those kids has some talent because they were being taught. With SING, these kids jsut appear to have this random talent, it's like where did that come from.

OH MY GOSH! I love Sing. I still have the movie, and the soundtrack (featuring Michael Bolton singing the Atlantis song and notably missing the big Life ain't worth livin when you're dead number, which breaks my heart.)

Of course, I am a giant cheeseball.

There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

"Life ain't worth livin when you're dead" should have definitely been on the soundtrack. Anytime I see Jessica Steen or Pete Dobson on anything else, I always think of SING.
