A NYC based poet who died in the 1990's. I saw a concert of songs to her poetry yesterday and immediately went out and bought a book of her poems.
Check out "Times Square Water Music" The first time that a poem brought tears to my eyes the first time I read it.

Well, Im sure you're happy with yourselves. You've forced me out in your Lord of the Flies-esque way. Like ten year old boys in a schoolyard, you've made it very clear.
You don't want any dissent here.
You don't want anyone who thinks differently than you do here.
You don't want new ideas here.
Fine. I have better things to do.
Goodbye.

Posted: 10/29/07 at 4:18pmwe don't mind people who think differently, its people who apologize for hate mongers that we don't want here, which is why we've been trying to get rid of Roxy for years.

oh please, this is like the third time you've threatened to leave and you're still here. like all of the goodbye gals.
you might even leave, but you'll come back with a new name and the same exact bullsh*t because you're not bright enough to be original.
so leave. no one here's gonna cry when yer gone.

Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye.
Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye.
Don't try to stop me Horace please...
Wave your little hand and whisper
So long dearie
You ain't gonna see me anymore
But when you discover that your life is dreary
Don't you come a knockin' at my door
For I'll be all dolled up
And singin' that song
That says you dog, I told you so
So wave your little hand and whisper
So long dearie
Dearie, should have said so long
So long ago
