Is it just me, or do those things seem to break easily? I swear, I feel like every few months I have to go out and buy a new set because they broke. With me, it's mostly that 1 side will stop working, or both will start sounding fuzzy. I'm sure it's probably the wire got bent and broke apart, but it's still annoying.
The ear buds are even more annoying, I've noticed. Mine are panasonic, and they have pretty much fallen apart in a 4 month period. First, I lost the rubber things covering up the metal edges, then the right one started to go a bit, and then I lost the mesh covering for that side too. And this is my fault, but the left one is broken sort of bad now too because I accidently stepped on it this morning. Luckly, it still works, but I want to get non broken ones. LOL! Anyone know of brands that don't break too easily?
Oh yeah, and I do like the ear buds, but I swear, they are sooooo deafening. I plug them into other sources besides my ipod, and I have to keep the volume down at 1, and even sometimes they are still too loud. I swear, is this stuff normal or it just me? :)

Yeah, I have NO luck with headphones. Always breaking and letting me down. I could buy an expensive (and therefore hopefully better quality) pair, but I just know that they're going to break, so I never spend too much. It's very depressing and I wish they wouldn't do it.

Posted: 4/17/08 at 4:48pmWalmart used to have a pretty decent pair of Sony Earbuds for 99 cents. If you break them, you're only out a buck and eight.

I have SkullCandy ones...they've lasted a pretty long time.
I don't think they are horribly expensive either.

Posted: 4/17/08 at 5:05pmIf you wrap the headphone cords around the player when storing it, that usually causes one side to go bad. It puts too much strain on one wire.

Posted: 4/17/08 at 5:05pmwhen i worked at fye i always recommended them to people. they fit most ears, they're cheap, and they last longer than most other pairs i've had. mine are at the year mark and still going strong, knock on wood.

#12re: Headphones-Anyone else have this problem?
Posted: 4/17/08 at 5:54pmyeah kasie, but the skull candy ink'd are like... perpetually on sale. and the sales change every 3 weeks, but they're usually one of the cheapest... unless you get like the $2 pos ones.

Posted: 4/17/08 at 6:56pmThanks everyone! Yeah, I should know better then to wrap the cord around my iPod, because of what I learned with more expensive equipment, but does that stop me? Of course not. But I can't say anything about stepping on them because that's just my own stupidity.
