Heavy Rains

The weather situation on Long Island is really bad. Rain is really coming down heavily. The sewers on my street have already backed up and I've lost sal=tellite transmission for the television. Candles are already lit and the flashlight is handy just in case we lose power.

Is the situation bad anywhere else?

The lights have been flickering here, too. I haven't seen such heavy rain in a long time.

Lots of rain near me but no flickering lights or anything. It's not pouring as bad as it was a few hours ago.

we've had rain here in NE CT, but more steady than like downpours or anything. and thankfully the lights haven't flickered, because i'm an RA, and I wouldn't want to deal with that.

The road in front of my house is completely flooded. It looks like the East River. Cars can't drive through it right now.

Raining pretty heavily all day in Central Jersey. Sewers flooding since mid-day. Went out for a bit late afternoon-early evening, then came home. Good night to just veg out on the couch. It's so muggy had to turn the AC on, too.

I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

I told him to forget about it tonight. However, you know CM2, he can't get enough of me!

The rain has stopped (at least for now) but we have heavy winds.
My street is still flooded. We have police up at the corner directing traffic elsewhere.

Also in school in LI and it's raining like crazy.

For some reason my roomates and the room over from me along with a few others decided to go out to a bar. Why... I don't know, but whatever they wanna do. I just don't see how you could want to drink that badly, it's pouring. They will be in a club/bar that is **** already soaking wet and gross, getting drunk, coming back even mroe wet and I don't even understand.

Whatever, TV is gone here... oh well. Might watch Fear and Loathing, roomate was watching it and the beginnin of the DVD is playing over and over in the other room.

I think it'll go down by tomorrow I hope, but roads and stuff seem really flooded when I look out the window and my family lives in Westchester County and they said it's really bad there when I talked to them a few hours ago. I think it still is too... hopefully it'll be nice this week. And I really want it to get colder too, it'd be nice if it were 50-60 or colder. I like that weather.

Anywayz, just hoping the power doesn't go out, I dunno what I'll do!! Actually I'll probably just read than go to bed, but I'd like to have it stay on :)

Here in Hartford it is still pouring at 12:45 am. I live near the Connecticut River and it flooded hours ago. The heavy rains are not supposed to let up until daybreak.

Thank god I have a small SUV. I just got home. There were small ponds all over the Henry Hudson Parkway and a lake just before the GW. I felt a bit like Noah. On my way to the city around 2pm, my windshield wipers both stopped working. (Turns out the bolts were just a little loose. The guy at the service area fixed me up. Thank heaven for him.) What a yucky day.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

It stopped raining on Long Island, but street is filled with debris and garbage from the flood last night. My driveway is also coated with wet leaves.
