I have a black cat too. He's about 6 years old, and my good buddy.
My wife called him Salem (Sabrina the Teenage Witch was a hit back then), but I just call him Schwartz. Also, I had a doctor named Schwartz that saved my life 23 years ago.
My next female pet, though, is going to be named Millie.

I always wanted to name a cat "Asshat the Cat" (but then I am one who named my two Snafu and Fubar)

I did name it, in fact. I named it after SM2--its name is Marvin. And it's not the same cat either...the poor black one got sick so we had to get a new kitten. This one's tiny and fluffy and gray, and he has been orange eyes. He's about four months old. He's a perfect little Marvin. Very playful and very gentle. He'll curl up in your lap and watch TV for hours. Such a sweetheart! I'll have pictures up by the end of this weekend.
