Starting a Camp Kesem at Florida State University will tap into a diverse community of driven and motivated individuals devoted to community service. With over 550 recognized student organizations and 40,000 undergraduate students from various scholastic disciplines, Florida State offers a unique opportunity to unite students over an issue that affects nearly everyone. One would be hard-pressed to find a single person, even out of 40,000, who have not been affected by cancer in some capacity. A Camp Kesem chapter at Florida State University would open up aide to familes affected by cancer in Tallahasse, North Florida, and Alabama, which is where student community outreach comes into play. Students at Florida State University are committed to upholding excellence and social responsibility both in the University and beyond. Involvement in Camp Kesem will foster these qualities, and provide students and campers alike with an experience they won't soon forget!
