I just spent an hour on the phone (mainly on hold) with Dell because my computer is acting up, and they just hung up on me. Besides which, I'm sure that "robbie" is a very nice and knowledgeable man, but his accent was so strong and the connection sucked, I have a feeling I was speaking to someone in a foreign country. I tried calling back, the speaking prompts don't work, it wouldn't take me to an operator, finally got through to an automated voice saying that there was a 20 minute wait now, and if I wasn't calling about a printer (which I'm not and never even mentioned!), call back and follow other prompts. Now I am quite pissed and frustrated!!!!!!!!
I once had a guy on a helpline yell at me because I couldn't understand him. I wasn't being obnoxious about it, just asking him to repeat what he'd said now and then when I missed a letter here and there.
so the computer help line disconnected me after an hour, saying there was a problem. Asked some friends (thanks BSoBW!) for help, and was able to restore the settings from Saturday night. It's like the Tonys (and that stupid webcast) didn't even happen. Wish real life was like that- you could go back and restore your life settings to before all the problems started. *sigh* At least my computer is working now!
