Hey! To make a long story short, for one of my school projects I am choreographing and filming a lightsaber fight. I will have to digitally add in the lightsaber afterwards. I'm not quite sure what program to use, so I'm putting my trust in you guys:
One woman I talked to said that Adobe Premiere elements could "rotoscope" (you can google the definition, but it's basically adding the lightsaber color to a filmed, moving stick)the blade, but I'm looking through a sample guidebook and I'm not quite sure I can achieve the lightsaber effect.
I've also heard that Adobe AfterEffects can do lightsaber rotoscoping... but I need to know if the cheaper, Adobe Premiere Elements can do it just as well. If anyone has one of the two programs and is familiar with it, please let me know if lightsaber rotoscoping is achieveable... I need to know by Sunday night. Thanks!
*bump* Come on, any prior knowledge with these programs may be helpful! :)
