True, this song was originally released in 1970, but I'll be damned if I'd heard it before today. Apparently, our UK members will be very familiar with it courtesy of a recent holiday drug store commercial? Perhaps someone can confirm that.
Anyway, you can't deny this funk. You can't. That killer beat, that funky bass line, those tight stylish horns and Mr. Doe's slick vocals.

Yesss. It came up around about Christmas time on the Boots ads (Boots being our biggest drugstore chain) and it hasn't gone away since. It is consequently my most hated song since that GHASTLY "This! Love! Has! Taken! Its toll! On me! We said! Goodbye! Too many times befo-o-o-ore!" track that appeared a number of summers ago.
