Obviously a WTF casting choice.

I thought it was weird. But I heard his audition blew Cary Fukunaga away.
I still have high hopes for this.

He is a good actor. He was excellent in Son of Rambow and a English film I saw him in called Wild Bill.

I just never imagined Pennywise so...young. But I guess when he's made up to look like a killer clown it won't matter so much.

He's a pretty brilliant actor. I think this is a smart out-of-the-box casting choice, which is perfect for the IT franchise.

This version is supposedly returning much closer to the book, where Pennywise was a shape-shifter. In the original film, Pennywise the Clown was the permanent avatar of IT- I expect the clown will get less face time in this adaptation.

Pennywise wasn't strictly a clown in the mini series, he took on many different looks. Bev, Bev's dad, a dog, among others. However the clown is the main form in both the book and the mini series.
