If the pictures get annoying enough, hopefully they'll be banned, too. Hey, if it were up to me there would be no sigs at all, but that's another story.

It does seem like pictures are being banned. What's up with that?
people bitched about them because they were too lazy to scroll by the sigs. if you would like to thank someone for this inconvinience, send a PM to namo. but be carful you don't use any HTML in the PM, or he will report you.

Thank you, Namo.
And yes, I actually mean that. It's not a matter of "laziness," AbbaRabbit. I'm here to read messages, not stare at the same distracting sigs over and over again. If you have pretty pictures, put them in your fan photos or profile. Don't have a sig that detracts from the main purpose of the board, which is the messages.

if you're here to read messages, there is a feature that makes it so you don't see people's sigs. use it.

I don't mind the short ones. But I guess I should block everything so I can accomodate the half-page missives of a few, right?
well, if you're going to complain.... and besides, you're here for the messages, so you wouldn't mind not seeing the short ones, right?
i don't get what color has to do with anything. a lot of the sigs with color were short, and whether they're in color or not doesn't affect the length. if people were complaining about the length, shouldn't there be a length limit instead of no color?

Actually, I'd say color is worse because it hurts the eye. Or at least my horribly nearsighted eyes.

people weren't complaining about the length untill that happened (no one said anything about tiff's page long sig, which was about twice the size of mine) they were complinaing about scrolling marquees, so all HTML except bold, italics, underlines, and links have been disabled.
yes, but this is basically becasue Tiny Toon has a picture in his sig.
That's the point of the AV!

OMG! Mild, RAiNBOW BRiGHTE (Or is it, Brite?) I used to watch that just because she had a horse. Lol.
i loved rainbow brite too!
I'd be happy to pull up everything I had in my previous signature. It was actually several lines shorter than your present one. (And for the record, my present one is 10 lines.)
"What do you do with a BA in Criminology?"
Type_A_Tiff + Bono ~ April 28, October 8 & 11, 2005.
"Need some wood?" - G.W. Bush comes onto John Kerry, Oct 8, 2005.
"[insert 3 lines of "outamydoodle"'s quote about me eating her muffin, whose thread has already been deleted so I can't pull it up]"
That's 9 lines versus your present 14. Not to mention mine weren't giving people epileptic seizures with all the scrolly, blinky mess (and who's going to complain about poking fun at Outamydoodle and Dubya?). I don't mean to nitpick, I'm just saying, since I got dragged into this...
^ I agree.
Abba - your rainbow marquee signature made me feel like I was in the middle of a horrid Care Bears episode.
But alas, I digress....Said person with picture STILL has a picture in his signature!
Who are you referring to?
I don't have an issue with long signatures (although someone had a full block of 10-line text, which was a bit dizzying). Colors - particularly rainbow-brite colors that scroll - not only make my (and others') eyes hurt, but significantly slow down my computer when I'm trying to scroll past it and wind up freezing my frame.
I agree with you.
I was referring to Abba's old signature and Tiny-Toon's picture in his signature.
Oh okay, I just didn't know who you were referring to when you started the thread. You can put pictures in a signature?
ETA: Just saw it. Oy. Well then, I suppose you can have colors allowed in your sig...if you care to take a screencap of it and post it in your signature!
Yes, apparently.
And he has a large picture, and it is annoying.
I don't care about thread size.
*signature size
And strangely, I don't remember anyone making a dig at the length of people's signatures, except for Abba, in order to go, "Yeah, well...if you're mad at MY signature, l-l-look at Tiff's! Nofaaair!" *yawn*
Yeah, it's not the size of the signature, but how it can entertain.
I don't mind the basic reds and blues - but a scrolling rainbow?
Give me a hallucination instead!
