High School Musical Pop Audition Song

I am not auditioning for High School Musical but a friend is.

I figured that you all would be able to think of a Musical Theater song that is also pop and fitting for a High School Musical Audition.

She is a mezzo with a belt that goes up to a high F and her head voice goes up to a high C.

Any help is appreciated.

Sing a Debbie Gibson song. I recommend "Foolish Beat."

Well I'm a guy, so I won't be able to give an exact song, but i've auditioned for HSM, and almost everyone brought something in from hairspray...dont know why..

If your a guy sing an old NSYNC or Backstreet song. I've seen the stage show. The guy stuff is a little demanding for boys going through puberty. Pick a song that will show you can transition from low to high easily.

Do something Disney. Most 90's disney musical stuff is very pop-sounding. If I was to audition for this show, I think I'd go with "Out There" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Has a few high notes, but doesn't require high belting, which is what I liked about it.
