I just finished this memoir last night, basically because I HAD to finish it as quickly as possible. It was quite the downer. I knew it would be, but usually I can find myself sympathetic to the writer of an autobiography, but I couldn't do that here. Perhaps I am very judgmental and just don't know enough about the dynamics of adult incest, but it was very difficult to read her blaming her father for everything and calling herself an incest survivor. Again, perhaps that's just my own ignorance.
Has anyone else read this? I am very curious about the new additional chapter that came out in the paperback edition about the ramifications of the book's publication. (I have the original Kindle version.) None of her siblings or ex-step mothers are even speaking to her anymore.
