If we have learned ANYTHING in the last 8 years it's not to believe one word of the polls. I'll wait till tonight to consider what it all means.

Keep in mind however that here in Texas you can actually win the state and not get the majority of the delegates.
Even if it's a close win Obama will be likely be getting far more votes from places like Houston and Dallas with large black communities. While it would be good for Hillary to stop Obama's momentum, it would take a substantial win for her to really make up enough ground in the delegate count.

I think it will be a good day for Clinton, but not good enough.

Today WILL be a good day for Hillary! She wins Texas, Ohio, and Rhode Island. I think Vermont is the only lost cause. I hope she can get at least 50% or more to get the most delegates.

I believe the delegate count - incl. Ohio, Vermont and Rhode Island - will tighten up by tomorrow morning, with a slight lead for Obama. I've been astonished by Obama's winning streak and the love affair the mainstream media has been conducting with him. I've read alot about him, including his own autobiography and books and articles that are laudatory - the more I read, the more I dislike him. What he lacks is any real passion over any issues. He's a conciliator, a compromiser, who has surface charm. I don't hate him; he's a nice guy. But I also think he will be a disaster as President. I like Hillary more, and yes, she's made terrible mistakes and would continue to do dumb things as President, but she does have passion over certain important issues, and hopefully learned from the mistakes of her husband's presidency. My hope is that Hillary wins in Ohio, and at least comes close in Texas, so the race can continue. I think the exact opposite of most pundits: the longer the focus remains on these 2 democrats, the better it will be for them in November.

The delegate counter game I linked above shows how she can win the states but still not get the most delegates.

Winning Texas and Ohio is big in that if she wins Penn as well, she will have won all the large states as well as the 3 main swing states. That's a big deal and could seal the deal with the superdelegates.

I wouldn't trust the polls in anything this primary, they have been consistently wrong. The only ones that seem to be right most of time are the Las Vegas odds makers. Anybody know what the odds are for the Texas primary?

I did my part for Hillary in Dallas this morning, and I will return for the caucus this evening. Unfortunately, I live in a house divided, with the two others supporting Barack. Fortunately, one of them is unavailable to attend the caucus.

Washington Post/ABC Poll:
"Two-thirds of Democrats say a victory in either Ohio or Texas would be reason enough for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) to keep her historic bid for the party's presidential nomination alive, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll."
If Clinton Wins in Ohio or Texas, Most Democrats Want Her to Stay in the Race

This may just be one web sites rankings. I am clueless about this stuff. May have nothing to do with Vegas.

You can't read BroadwayWorld but not the Washington Post?
It's basically that paragraph I quoted plus this:
* 29 percent of Democrats said Clinton should drop out if she loses one of the two big states
* 51 percent said she should quite if she loses both.

i read an interesting theory that has there being a lack of spanish language polling in texas which would idicate that a significant number of voters is being left out. her support in that demographic is legion.
oh, and republicans are crossing party lines in droves to vote for her. droves.

Between the Republicans who are crossing party lines to vote for Hillary and the Republicans who are crossing party lines to vote for Obama, you guys don't have much of a party left, do you?
