Anyone wanna gimme some advice here. I know the notes and can sight read those, but have no sense of how to really sight read the rhythm and even thinking about the rhythm while playing piano or guitar or singing or something, it seems hard sometimes. I am just so used to basically getting the rhythm memorized, and trying to count or something in my head throws me off.
I know the beats and what they all look like and can read music, just have lots of trouble with the rhythms.
So can anyone gimme advice on how to get better? I DLed a program that has me press space as it goes throw the music and hit the space with the rhythm, and it seems to help. i know practice will help, but anything you know (maybe if there are drummers here they could help), I'd appreciate it cuz it is getting a lil frustrating at times.
Thanks...

thanks, ill try that... I'll just keep working with them over and over with a metronome and see if that helps. The more I deal with thinking about the rhythms, rather than memorizing them, the better I'll get.
Blah downfall to learning to play guitar by myself. I just copy what the rhythm sounds like and feels like, I don't bother with the counts and beats and what not. Then learned to read music and now can do that, butlooking into doing mroe with it and need to kow rhythm which I just suck at. Oh well, I'm determined to learn.
