I am indeed, DD! We're not spending any real time there though. I get up to Seattle quite often, because my mother lives off the north coast of Bainbridge Island, and I have many cousins who live on the island too.

So, this trip is all about the cruise and being with my dad.

No, it's round trip to/from Seattle. Our last stop is Victoria, BC, before heading back.

Sounds like the exact route I took when I was working on Norwegian Cruise lines.


You'll love it.

For the ice viewing. Get as far up on the ship as possible so you have a full 360 degree view.

I know what you mean, Dame! Sometimes you need a vacation to rest after your vacation.

We're trying to plan just enough and leave some "down time" too. This will be my fifth cruise, so I'm familiar enough with the drill that I've hopefully scheduled fun things without going too far. And we took my dad on our last Crystal Cruise to England, Ireland, Scotland and France. And he outpaced both me and my partner! He's in excellent shape for his age. He still jogs 3-4 times a week. I'm the one who has to go into training to keep up with him!

And linnie, my partner and I really want to sail on the QM2. We're hoping to do that in the next couple of years. He really wants to check it out. So do I!

Good advice, Diva! We just found out yesterday that we've been upgraded to their top tier verandah room. It's pretty high up, but I know I'll want to go to the top and look all around, 360 as you say. Still, it's nice to know we can sip a glass of this or that, and view it from our own balcony! I'm not one to sit still for very long, so I'm sure I'll be checking it out from all over the ship.
