I just saw this on Yahoo news. His screenplay for To Kill a Mockingbird was superb. I also love A Trip to Bountiful.

I was very sad to hear this today, even if he lived a good, long life.

His screenplays for Mockingbird, Bountiful, and Tender Mercies are among the best ever written for the medium of film.

Honestly, if he never wrote another screenplay besides "To Kill a Mockingbird," he would be a legend in my eyes.
