Anyone have hotel website suggestions? I've been checking the usual sites such as Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity and Hotels.com and they all have the same rates. I mean, what's the point?

Anyone know any better sites to visit?

Sidestep.com searches all those websites (and more) all at once - so while it may bring up the same prices, you'll only have to do one search. Good luck!

Thanks! I'll give it a try.

Hotwire will be a bit less, but it does the bit where is won't tell you exactly which hotel. Sometimes from the description you can figure it out, like they give you the general location, and if there is only 1 5-star hotel there, well, there you have it. and the savings are substantial.

ALSO, if you aren't persnickety, waiting til right before 6 pm will get you nice big discouts at Hotwire. after 6 you cannot book for the same night.

Hotels.com usually has some decent deals on smaller hotels. I'm too fussy to rely on hotwire. I need to know what I'm going to get! But there will be good deals there.

Most large hotel chains will guarantee the best available rate on the hotel's Web site itself. So, make sure to check those too.
