The Dow is down around 550 - 600 points. It's dropping even as I write this.

Terrifying.

One of my partner's investment plans has dropped by a 1/3 in the past few months...I can only imagine what's happening to it today alone.

He's thinking hiding money under the mattress might be the smartest move about now.

I never thought I'd find myself agreeing with you, but.....

OK, it's not a complete agreement. I think the whole rotten bunch of them are un-American and ought to resign. Or be fired. Or whatever needs to be done to get rid of them. There was a whole house full of Republicans and Democrats in there today and not a single American. Now the R's and D's have gone off to fiddle while this Rome burns.
