Feminism is the movement towards equality for women socially, politically, and economically.

How do you feel about feminism?
As a woman, I think it's very important. I think that woman have definitely come a long way, but were not equal yet.

Would you call ourself a feminist? Yes

What qualities do you think a feminist has? Strong, opinionated, open mind

Do you believe that men and women are currently equall in our society? No.

I find feminism

How do you feel about feminism?: I usually hear the word and think of it like how modern Christianity is viewed: radical and sometimes in your face. I'd like to believe in the better aims, but many feminists I've encountered find women better than men and are just as fast to put people down as sexist men are towards women. In the race for equality, one must view themselves as equal, not what the other side would think of themselves in being better. PLUS, I think it is absolute bull**** that SOME out there look down upon housewives because of the "It is because of our struggle that you are allowed to enter the workplace and you fail to step up" attitude. I think that beyond feminism, beyond all the sexist crap, being a woman as my friend puts it is the right to choose. Choose to marry, choose to have an abortion, choice of voting, and the choice to work. When feminists judge other women who aren't involved in the movement, they lose my respect. Sadly from what I encountered, they haven't left a good impression on me. What happened to the days of the Mill Girls and picketers outside the factory gates fighting in unity that would later be mirrored in the Civil Rights Movement?
